Put a little “Spring” back into your life!

Spring is a time where everything is new- the flowers bloom, trees are full of vibrant colors and the sun is starting to warm up the ground. With the winter blues behind us, I’m the first one to welcome springtime! This is the time of year for fresh starts, sunny delights and new beginnings. When I think of spring I imagine clean scents infused with sweet fruits, earthy herbs, crisp linen and everything nature.

Apples~ always have such rich, bright skins and are one of natures best antioxidants. This amazing product is a wonderful gentle exfoliant. It contains crushed almond shells that help buff off dull dry skin without being too abrasive or harsh. Organic apple extract refines skin’s texture and apple cider vinegar tightens pores. I love applying some to damp skin and massaging it for a few seconds to polish the skin. Then I leave it on for 20 minutes or so (depending on how long you have) and it works like a mask. To take it off I take a washcloth with warm water and wipe my face clean. My skin feels soft and smells delish too. What I love most about this product is that if I have any dull or dry skin, after using this it’s gone. Not to mention it works good on those little blemishes http://www.loccitane.com/a-true-story,29,1,2270,106327.htm

Grapeseed ~ This creamy cleanser is one of my favorites. I searched forever to find one that I love, it is great for taking off your makeup at night and perfect for refreshing your skin after a good nights sleep. This beautiful cleanser is great for all the seasons, in the winter it doesn’t strip the skin and in summer it’s good at getting a good thorough clean. I apply to moistened skin, massage on and emulsify with warm water. Then I take a facecloth with warm water and wipe off the excess. This cleanser contains so many wonderful nutrients from nature -grapeseed, polyphenols, cornflower extract, oat extract, sweet almond, jojoba oils, shea butter, coriander, sweet lime, lemon and the list goes on. There is no parabens, phenoxyethanol, artificial colorings, mineral oils and it’s not tested on animals. This product is Ophthalmologically tested! The one last thing I love is that I can use this to take my eye makeup off and it doesn’t sting if I get some in my eyes. No stinging or tightness

This cleanser actually moisturizes the skin and leaves it baby soft. One last point- you only need a pump or two to cleanse your entire face and neck, which means the bottle will last a long time.

Pepermint~ I love everything peppermint! From Shampoos, lotions, lip balms, body creams to teas and candies. But out of every thing out there that includes this wonderful scent, my all time favorite is foot products. I have tried many products out there but one that I always go back to is the line from The Body Shop. This line is great and fairly inexpensive. Again with this product a little goes a long way. After a winter spent in boots, its nice to pamper your self and try the whole system. First I take all nail polish off, then I fill a bowl with warm water ( as warm as you can handle) sprinkle

a small amount of the “Peppermint Reviving Foot Soak” and immerse my feet. I usually have a cup of tea and relax for at least 20 minutes or as long as I can. Next I take a small amount of the “Peppermint Smoothing Pumice Foot Scrub” and massage it into my feet, concentrating on my heels and in between my toes. This product contains Volcanic Rock that intensely exfoliates, smooths and softens even the roughest skin. The peppermint oil is community trade for lasting freshness.

After my feet are all  exfoliated I take them out and dry them off and apply the “Peppermint Cooling Foot Spray”. It is refreshing and a great little add right at the end. This product is great in the  spring, summer, fall and mostly winter when your feet have been in boots all day. I love spraying this on right before I go to bed, it cools them down and the smell relaxes me.

Last but not least I top off the whole experience with The Body Shop’s “Peppermint Cooling Foot Lotion”. This lotion is lighter than most foot creams but don’t let that fool you. Not only does it moisturize it doesn’t leave a greasy feel. But the best thing is the smell, a true peppermint that is sure to make your feet happy!
