Dark Cherries will help you get your~ZZZ’s

Not sure if many of you are like me when it comes to the brain not being able to turn off at night and needing some zzz’s? There are times that I try to head to bed, only to lay there and toss and turn. I have heard a few times that dark cherry juice is the natural cure. Honestly, I was skeptical and thought this must be a myth. Well I can honestly say it worked!

Did you know that dark cherry juice is great for boosting the body’s own supply of melatonin?  It can help to regulate the body’s natural sleep cycle and increase sleep efficiency, including decreasing the time it takes to fall asleep. Melatonin plays such an important role in inducing sleepiness at night and wakefulness during the day.

Dark cherries are a good source of vitamins and rich in antioxidants, providing so many other important health benefits including fighting heart disease and are a natural pain reliever. They can help exercise-induced muscle soreness by reducing inflammation. The great thing is dark cherry juice is available year-round!

What I found worked best was not eating late and drinking a glass of organic dark cherry juice three hours before bed. Now you don’t have to buy organic, it’s just my preference and I highly recommend it!
